II. Applicability

• This policy applies to any city department, office or employee that creates, maintains, or acquires Data on behalf of the city. The Tempe Open Data Policy applies to any City Department, Office, administrative unit, Commission, Board, advisory committee or other division of the City that creates, maintains or acquires information, records, or data on behalf of a City department that are reasonably related to the mission of the City or as defined by Arizona law.

• This policy shall not be construed to eliminate any rights, protections, or obligations the city may have under the Arizona Public Records laws.
